How We Make Money

Debt by the Numbers is a free service operated by Digital Nations LLC. We earn money when you click on or submit information through one of the provider links on our site. This is called a “cost per lead” (CPL) arrangement — we receive a fee from the provider for connecting them with a potential customer.

You are never charged for using our comparison tool. The providers pay us directly.

How This Affects What You See

The compensation we receive may influence which providers appear on our site, the order in which they appear, and the prominence of their listing. Providers who pay higher fees may appear higher in our comparison rankings.

However, our editorial content — including articles, guides, and educational material — is created independently and is not influenced by our advertising relationships. When we recommend a strategy or approach in our content, it reflects our editorial judgment, not advertiser preference.

Not All Providers Are Listed

Our site does not include every lender or provider or every available offer. We work with a select group of providers who participate in our advertising program. Other providers may offer rates that are lower or better suited to your needs.

Our Commitment to You

  • We clearly label all sponsored content and affiliate links.
  • Our editorial content is written to help you make informed decisions, not to push a specific provider.
  • We regularly review our provider partners to ensure they meet basic quality and reputation standards.
  • We will never recommend a provider solely because they pay us more.
